About Mychelle

Mychelle is a 4th generation native Californian and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. Her love for recycling old pieces of furniture came from her desire to save them from landfill and help others learn how to recreate pieces passed down from their families.

She worked at Levi’s Strauss & Company for over 17 years where she worked in Manufacturing and Community Affairs. She had the opportunity to connect hundreds of employees all over the United States with non-profit organizations to make a difference in their communities.

She has taught at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and at San Mateo Community College. She specializes in funology and thrives on creating an exciting learning environment. She loves to teach her students how to transform furniture into one of a kind pieces of art.

She started her company MY Furniture Creations in 2014 where she has transformed thousands of pieces of furniture for resell and for clients. She has over 20 years experience working with customers and teaching. She has a B.A. degree in Management and Marketing and her Masters degree in Organizational Management.
